Green Day released their ¡Uno! album on September 24, 2012. The album is the first of the ¡Uno!, ¡Dos! (November 13, 2012), ¡Tré! (January 15, 2013) trilogy, and their ninth studio album overall.
¡Uno! consists of 12 songs that focuses on pop punk instead of alternative rock that Green Day focused on for their American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown albums. Here's the track list (please note that my top 4 favorite tracks are highlighted in bold) for ¡Uno!:
I added "Fell for You" to my very small love playlist; "Let Yourself Go" and "Loss of Control" pwns; and "Rusty James" has a nice beat (both vocally and instrumentally).
Overall: "Rusty James" is my favorite song on ¡Uno! The song points out that there's a lack of talented bands in the 21st century... which is sadly true. Here's the key lyrics for the song:
"And all the losers, can't even win for losing, and the beginners don't even know what song they're singing."
"When there's no one left around, and you're the last gang in town."
"Where the f*ck is your old gang man?"
