I enjoy seeing trades like this.
I had seen an incredible trade where someone traded an older model special edition Nintendo 3DS (no specific model was mentioned) for the following two Pokemon Trading Card Game items:
- 2002 Unlimited Neo Destiny Shining Holo 106/105 Shining Celebi.
- 2019 Sun & Moon Hidden Fates Shiny Vault Ultra Rare Full Art SV82/SV94 Cynthia.
The condition of these cards wasn't disclosed. The Shining Celebi has no chipping on its edges, but it does have a few dirty marks on the front. At best it's in Lightly Played Condition. If this is the case it's worth about $173.66. This is based on the last three copies that sold on TCG Player under the same condition.
The Cynthia on the other hand is most likely in Near Mint or better condition. If this is the case it's worth about $64.45. This too is based on the last three copies that sold on TCG Player under the same condition.
This would bring the total value of these cards to $238.11. Even if they traded off a The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary Nintendo 3DS -- they got a really good deal!
One could say the person who received the 3DS also got a really good deal if they pulled these cards from cheap products.
I've never seen a 106/105 Shining Celebi in person, but I have seen a 113/105 Shining Tyranitar from the same set. It's an incredible piece of art that's best seen in person.
Question: Have you ever traded an electronics item for Pokemon card(s) or vice versa? If you did, I'd love to hear your story in the comments below.
