Scalping for the 2025 Pokémon Trading Card Game: Mega Battle Deck: Mega Gengar ex has begun. This product was released on October 24, 2025, with an MSRP of $14.99, and includes the following items:

One ready-to-play 60-card deck.

One large metallic coin.

One deck box.

One set of damage-counter dice.

One double-sided playmat & strategy sheet.

One Pokémon TCG Live code card.
Three cards in this 60-card deck are the main reason why this product has been selling for about $42 in the secondary market. These cards are as follows:

Two Phantasmal Flames (PFL) Double Rare 056/094 Mega Gengar ex. This card is not exclusive to this deck. It's currently selling for about $7, but it's expected to drop in value once Phantasmal Flames is released on November 14, 2025.

One Mega Evolution Promo (MEP) 027 Haunter. This card is exclusive to this deck and is currently selling for about $30.
Gengar is my second favorite Pokémon to collect, but there's no way I'm paying these prices. I'd rather wait for a restock because this product line is usually restocked many times.
For example, the Mew VMAX League Battle Deck was released on November 11, 2022, and although it sells out quickly, I've seen many restocks this year alone.
