Fan Stuff - Rants

Since seeeing the trailer for the season 6 premiere of "House," fans speculated that the show is going to "Jump the Shark."

"Jump the shark" is a colloquialism coined by Jon Hein and used by TV critics and fans to denote the point in a television program's history where the plot veers off into absurd story lines or out-of-the-ordinary characterizations.

For five seasons "House" has always been about diagnosing patients with a little Dr. Gregory House drama in-between. The season 6 premiere was about Dr. Gregory House diagnosed. So did it "jump the shark" like many said it would?

I'm happy to report that "House" didn't "jump the shark!" I don't want to spoil much of the episode, but it needed to be done to get Dr. House off of something, and it opened to doors to new storylines in the future.
