Toon Link and Zelda Cosplay

deviantART members MazzTheGreat and BalletGala dressed up as Toon Link and Toon Zelda respectively. You rarely see toon cosplays of Legend of Zelda characters, so I figured that this would be an awesome share.

They made their own consumes, and MazzTheGreat shared how she made Link's costume. Here's how she made the Hylian Shield and Hero's Sword:

Hylian Shield: "I took foam board and drew out the shape I wanted then bent it a little (but not to the point it got lines in it like the first one I did). I then took some thick foam my dad had and put it on the back to make it thicker and help hold the handle in place. The rest is craft foam that I hot glued on (except I used tacky glue for the front parts so it didn't get bumpy). The handle is a thin dowel rod."[1]

Hero's Sword: "It's just 2 pieces of balsa wood glued together with a dowel rod in the middle. Then 5 thinner pieces of balsa glued together with larger rod on the smaller one adding length and thickness. The circle on the top is clay :) All painted with folkart paint."[1]
