Sales of 2012 Upper Deck MLS hot packs was off to a great start in its first week of sales on eBay, but sales quickly declined thereafter. Here are the highlights:

Retail packs of 2012 Upper Deck MLS retails for $1.
From June 12-18, 2012, the average sale for each pack was $8.00 (excluding shipping)!
One buyer purchased 4 packs at $12 each!
From June 19-21, 2012, the average sale for each pack was $3.99 (excluding shipping). A sharp 50% decline.

New to this series are:

MLS Throwbacks
- Premium memorabilia cards numbered to 10
- Dual memorabilia cards numbered to 25.
UD Update Set Redemptions good for an Update set.

Retail boxes of this series contains 1 memorabilia card on average; hobby boxes of this series contains 1 autographed card, and 4 memorabilia cards (including 1 multi-swatch or Premium Series card on average).

Heads-up for new collectors: Most hot packs (especially retail hot packs) contains a low-end memorabilia card... it's very rare to find a hot pack with an autographed card and/or a high-end memorabilia card.
