Today, at the TCA (Television Critics Association) press tour, Hulu revealed they will no longer release an entire season of their original content at once, opting to release new episodes on a weekly basis.
Upcoming Hulu original series includes The Mindy Project (season 4), The Way (starring Hannibal's Hugh Dancy, Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul and True Detective's Michelle Monaghan), and 11/22/63 (an event series based on the Stephen King novel).
A weekly release schedule will allow Hulu to release their new content as quickly as possible, because they don't need to wait until their entire series is produced.
Although I personally prefer to bing-watch a television season over the course of a couple weeks, I'm fine with a weekly release schedule if that results in more high quality episodes.
