"Come on!"
I've spent nearly 3 hours over the past 2 days trying to hatch a female Mawile with the Adamant nature (+10% Attack; -10% Special Attack) and Intimidate ability (lowers the opponent's Attack stat by one stage). Is it going to take another 3 hours just to hatch that particular Pokemon?!
Ironically, I've hatched two male Mawile's with the adamant nature and Intimidate ability, but I have way too many male Pokemon on my team.
Mawile is finally useful in Pokemon X/Y thanks to its new Steel/Fairy type, and Mega Evolution. Prior to that series, Mawile was only a steel Pokemon. Here's a chart comparing Steel Mawile to Steel/Fairy Mawile:
|
Type
|
Steel Mawile
Weaknesses
|
Steel/Fairy Mawile
Weaknesses
|
| Normal | 0.5 | 0.5 |
| Fire | 2 | 2 |
| Water | 1 | 1 |
| Electric | 1 | 1 |
| Grass | 0.5 | 0.5 |
| Ice | 0.5 | 0.5 |
| Fighting | 2 | 1 |
| Poison | 0 | 0 |
| Ground | 2 | 2 |
| Flying | 0.5 | 0.5 |
| Psychic | 0.5 | 0.5 |
| Bug | 0.5 | 0.25 |
| Rock | 0.5 | 0.5 |
| Ghost | 0.5 | 1 |
| Dragon | 0.5 | 0 |
| Dark | 0.5 | 0.5 |
| Steel | 0.5 | 1 |
| Fairy | - | 0.5 |
In short: Mawile is no longer weak to Fighting moves, and is now immune to Dragon moves. Speaking of "moves," I'm planning on having my future Mawile learn the following moves:
-
Swords Dance: Increases Mawile's Attack stat by two stages.
-
Sucker Punch: Priority physical Dark move with 80 power.
-
Play Rough: Physical Fairy move with 90 power and STAB.
-
Iron Head: Physical Steel move with 80 power and STAB.
If you can come up with a better moveset for my Mawile, be sure to post that moveset in the comments below.
Update (November 16, 2013): Nearly 2 hours later, I've finally hatched a female Mawile with the Adamant nature and Intimidate ability! I can't believe that I spent nearly 5 hours searching for that Pokemon...
