Short answer: no.

Pre-orders for 2025 Mega Evolution Perfect Order Booster Display Boxes, Booster Bundles, and Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Boxes didn't sell out within a few minutes, and collectors are already claiming this is proof that the market is resetting.

This is a classic case of "being in denial." A low-expectation set quickly selling out isn't a sign the market is resetting to 2019 levels. Here's a list of the announced hits for this set:

  • Mega Starmie ex.

  • Mega Clefable ex.

  • Mega Zygarde ex.

  • Mega Skarmory ex.

  • Meowth ex.

None of these Pokémon is considered S-Tier. Before 2020, sets without an S-Tier hit didn't sell out quickly.

These collectors must be the same people who claimed the market would reset after the release of Scarlet & Violet Shrouded Fable (another set without an S-Tier Pokémon).

Ironically, Shrouded Fable's lackluster checklist increased demand for previous sets. If history repeats itself, demand for Mega Evolution (base set), Phantasmal Flames, Destined Rivals, and Journey Together will potentially go up.

Perfect Order will be released worldwide on March 27, 2026. All eyes will be on the pre-release tournaments that will start on March 14, 2026. These events will help determine whether or not this set will be hyped.
