I’ve seen some seriously crooked pricing on the 2026 Pokémon Trading Card Game Mega Evolution 30th Celebration Elite Trainer Box, but this might be one of the wildest examples yet.
One shop is selling opened ETBs for $118 (roughly 136% above MSRP), while sealed ETBs are going for $188 (roughly 276% above MSRP).
For context, the regular 30th Celebration Elite Trainer Box has an official $49.99 MSRP. That makes the shop's pricing particularly eye-catching.
Normally, opening a sealed Pokémon product reduces its value because the buyer is no longer getting an untouched collectible. Yet this shop is asking $118 for an opened box, which is already more than double what the entire sealed product was supposed to cost at MSRP.
The sealed price is even more extreme. At $188, the shop is asking nearly four times the official MSRP.
This product has been experiencing significant aftermarket demand since its September 16, 2026 release. Market trackers have recently recorded sealed ETBs around $150–$160.
That makes the $188 sealed price noticeably higher than even the already-inflated secondary-market levels reported shortly after release.
