Their prices are a red flag.

I've stumbled upon a new seller on a marketplace primarily selling counterfeit video games. Here's a list of the English video games they've sold, along with a percentage of how much cheaper it costs compared to an authentic copy:

SNES:

  • Super Metroid - $13 (82.7% cheaper).

GB:

  • Pokemon Green - $16 (not available).

GBA:

  • Pokemon Emerald - $12 (94.4% cheaper).

DS:

  • Pokemon Platinum - $25 (75.7% cheaper).

N64:

  • Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness - $16 (87.7% cheaper).

  • Doom 64 - $16 ($52.9% cheaper).

  • Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Caliber - $29 (76.2% cheaper).

  • Paper Mario - $18 (71.9% cheaper).

All of these games have flawless cartridges with no scratches or scuffs. This is a red flag, considering sellers wouldn't sell a box fresh copy for these prices.

The most obvious red flag is the cartridge art. All of these copies feature alternate, oversaturated, blurry, and/or stretched art.

I've listed the price difference of Pokémon Green as "not available" because an English version doesn't exist. This version was only released in Japan. The English market received Pokémon Red, Pokémon Blue, and Pokémon Yellow.

What's surprising is that they have 100 percent positive feedback. It's going to be interesting to see how long they can get away with selling this garbage.
