Or should that service remain ad-free?netflix-01

Some Netflix users reported seeing an "unskippable ad" before some of their content streamed, leading some people to speculate that service will soon place an ad at the start of every stream.

Netflix CEO Reed Hastings stated on Monday his company will never place ads on their streaming service.

"No advertising coming onto Netflix. Period.

"Just adding relevant cool trailers for other Netflix content you are likely to love," Hastings stated.[1]

What part of an unskippable video that the user didn't ask to view isn't considered an "ad?"

Whatever the case... I wouldn't mind if Netflix plays one short advertisement before I stream their content -- provided they use 100 percent of that revenue towards better content.

Question: Should Netflix add advertisements to their streaming service?
