DirectX 9 users will need to manually force that API to run Audiosurf 2.

Dylan Fitterer announced today an update for the Windows PC version of Audiosurf 2 that adds DirectX 11 support to that Early Access Game. The upgrade boosts the performance in that game by approximately 20 percent.

Players limited to a DirectX 9 video card can still play Audiosurf 2 by following these steps:

  • Right click on Audiosurf 2 in your Steam Library and click on Properties.

  • Click on Set Launch Options under General.

  • Type in -force-d3d9 and click on the OK button.
