Most buyers pays an absurd amount of money for mediocre packs.

It took nearly two weeks for 20 standard 2015 Topps Star Wars: Journey to The Force Awakens hot packs to sell on a popular auction website. That observation is based on the "Star Wars Force Awakens hot pack" keywords. Listed below is a sales report for those packs:

  • $49.99* (September 29, 2015).

Considering a majority of hot pack sellers are deceiving scumbags... the closing costs for 11 of those 20 auctions are absurd. I've highlighted those auctions in red.

I wouldn't personally pay more than $20 for an autographed hot pack with no serial number guarantees. I also wouldn't pay more than $10 for a mystery hot pack, because I know better there's a 99 percent chance it contains one of the worst possible listed hits (in this case a patch card)...

*A secret "Best Offer" was accepted for that auction.

**This auction included two packs.
