Amazon does what Netflix couldn't/wouldn't.
Amazon.com announced today an exclusive multi-year content licensing agreement with HBO, to bring award-winning shows to their Prime Instant Video streaming service.
Prime members can look forward to streaming the entire The Sopranos, Six Feet Under, The Wire, Big Love, Deadwood, Eastbound & Down, Family Tree, Enlightened, and Treme series.
Early seasons of Boardwalk Empire and True Blood will also be added to Prime.
Previous seasons of Girls, The Newsroom and Veep will be added to Prime approximately three years after airing on HBO.
The first wave of HBO content will arrive on Prime Instant Video May 21, 2014.
This news axes a rumor that Netflix was close to signing a similar deal with HBO!
