Will Mordor know your name?
Pre-orders for the digital version of Middle-earth: Shadow Bundle have appeared out of nowhere for the Nintendo Switch 2.
This edition includes both Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor Game of the Year Edition and Middle-earth: Shadow of War: Definitive Edition.
The MSRP is $69.99, but a 50 percent discount is available until October 5, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. PST, bringing the price down to $34.99.
At roughly $17.50 per game, this is a decent deal. However, I already purchased both the digital and physical versions of these games on another platform for much less.
Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is an open-world action-adventure game set in J.R.R. Tolkien’s Middle-earth. Players take on the role of Talion, a ranger who is resurrected after being killed by Sauron’s forces. The game features sword combat, stealth, exploration, and the innovative Nemesis System, which creates unique rivalries with enemy Orcs.
Middle-earth: Shadow of War expands on its predecessor with a larger open world, deeper character progression, massive battles, and an expanded Nemesis System. Players can recruit and command Orc followers while building an army to take on Sauron’s forces in an original story set between The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings.
Fans have asked if these games will fun at 60 FPS. The official Nintendo Switch 2 product page and announcement trailer doesn't mention if this will be the first console version that runs higher than 30 FPS.
As a comparison, the PlayStation 4 Pro mode is capped at 30 FPS, and there's currently no patch that can increase the frame rate of the PS4 version to 60 FPS for the PS5.
