One of my favorite hobbies is bargain shopping for trading card packs and boxes because I enjoy the challenge. In this article is my top five favorite bargain hits that I showcased in a break during winter 2014-15.
5) 2013 Elite Extra Edition Baseball: Game Jerseys: 8 - Scott Hurst
Hanger boxes of 2013 Elite Extra Edition Baseball includes one guaranteed autographed card, but I managed to also pull a jersey card from my $12.80 retail hanger box.
4) 2015 Topps Heritage Baseball: Clubhouse Collection: CCR AC - Aroldis Chapman
I pulled this card from my $14.76 retail value box. Cards in that subset are inserted into 1:64 retail packs (1:8 value boxes), on average.
3) 2015 Topps Series One Baseball: Snow Camo: 306 - Juan Lagares
Snow Camo cards are inserted into 1:267 retail packs (26.7 value boxes), on average. I pulled this sweet card from my $19.80 retail value box.
2) 2014 Cryptozoic Adventure Time: Autographs: 11 - Michael Dorn as Gork
Imagine pulling this autographed card from a $1.58 retail blister pack. I turned around and sold this card for a hefty profit. Win-win-win.
1) 2014-15 Prestige: Bonus Shots Platinum Autographs: Tony Snell
I pulled that epic hit from a $4.48 retail hot pack! That card will most likely go down as my favorite bargain hit of winter 2014-15 to autumn 2015.
