Imagine paying the full MSRP for base cards.not amused 003

A despicable seller recently sold twenty resealed booster packs of 2021 Pokemon Trading Card Game Sword & Shield Shining Fates for a staggering $190!

The buyer also claimed the packs included the wrong number of cards and that some of the packs had holes in them. They could have avoided this nightmare scenario by examining the photos.

Although the seller was sly in excluding close-up photos, I could clearly see red flags in their distant photos, such as misaligned crimping, thicker-than-normal crimping, and wrinkled crimping. Some packs were even resealed beyond the "10 additional game cards" text!

Sealed booster packs for this set are currently selling for about $9.50. I avoid this set because the market value for its hits isn't worth the price of the pack. For reference, here's a list of the top five most valuable cards in this set as of this writing:

  1. Rare Shiny SV108/SV122 Charizard VMAX - $118.
  2. Ultra Rare Full Art 072/072 Skyla - $14.
  3. Rare Shiny SV119/SV122 Dito VMAX - $9.
  4. Rare Shiny SV022/SV122 Suicune - $8.
  5. Rare Shiny SV047/SV122 Galarian Ponyta - $7.

It's brutal when only two cards in a TCG set are worth more than the price of the pack.
