Doom, Doom II and Doom 3 was released for the Nintendo Switch yesterday, and I went from being excited to disappointed in a matter of seconds because of the games DRM.
Doom and Doom II requires users to login to a Bethesda.net account once to play, while Doom 3 requires users to login to a Bethesda.net account each time they want to fully access all of its features and content.
That's ridicules. I was excited to download a portable version of Doom 3, but there's no way I'm dealing with additional DRM on the Switch, because I would only purchase that game to play it on the go.
July 28, 2019 update: Due to receiving loads of complaints, Bethesda announced they're working on a patch to make logging into a Bethesda.net account optional.
