These deals are too good to be true.

The amount of counterfeit video games on the market these days is getting ridiculous. It has reached the point where I can find a new seller listing their garbage daily.

Here's what a seller who claims they only sell high-quality video games recently sold, along with a percentage of how much cheaper it costs compared to an authentic copy:

Game Boy:

  • Pokémon Green - $14.39 (not available).

  • Pokémon Red - $15.99 (76.6% cheaper).

Game Boy Color:

  • Pokémon Crystal Version - $19.99 (86.6% cheaper).

Game Boy Advance:

  • Pokémon Emerald Version - $12.99 (94% cheaper).

Nintendo DS:

  • Pokémon Black Version 2 - $19.99 (84.6% cheaper).

  • Pokémon HeartGold Version - $21.99 (83.4% cheaper).

  • Pokémon SoulSilver Version - $21.99 (81.7% cheaper).

  • Pokémon White Version 2 - $19.99 (85.7% cheaper).

Nintendo 64:

  • Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness - $19.99 (84.8% cheaper).

  • Conker's Bad Fur Day - $19.99 (79.2% cheaper).

  • Pokémon Blue - $12.50 (not available).

  • Pokémon Red - $24.99 (not available).

  • Pokémon Gold - $19.99 (not available).

  • Pokémon Crystal - $22.49 (not available).

  • Pokémon Yellow - $21.24 (not available).

All of these games have flawless cartridges with no scratches or scuffs. They also feature art that's oversaturated, blurry, and/or stretched.

The publisher never released every game that has a price difference that's "not available.

Needless to say, their feedback is flooded with buyers claiming that their cartridge is counterfeit and is difficult to insert and remove from their system.
