My favorite mode in DayZ is its crawling simulator.
The standalone version of DayZ features a huge world that's 230 square kilometers (approximately 88.8 square miles) in size. Because each server in that game is limited to 40 players, it can can hours before you stumble upon another player or zombie.
Normally, playing DayZ in an isolated location isn't a major issue -- but a leg breaking glitch and a lack of zombies can make your game unbearable to play, as reported by Steam user Straya (moving house).
"I spawned literally in the middle of nowhere, ran south for 30 minutes, randomly had my legs broken from a glitch and now I literally cannot play, unless I want to crawl, awfully slow for hours on end," Steam user Straya (moving house) said. "I cannot respawn and I very highly doubt players or zombies will randomly come across me and do me a favor and kill me."[1]
Crawling for hours just to find a zombie or someone to kill you is about as bad as it gets in DayZ...
