Mega Rayquaza be laughing at yo' Ice and Rock-type Pokemon.
The Pokemon Company announced in October that Pokemon Omega Ruby and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire will include a Mega Stone for Rayquaza. Is that Mega Evolution any good? Let's find out!
Mega Rayquaza Pros:
- Doesn't require a Mega Stone to Mega Evolve. Allowing you to technically attach a second item.

Prevents weather moves and weather Abilities from activating.

Reduces the effectiveness of Electric, Ice and Rock-type moves that's headed to Flying-type Pokemon. All of those moves will deal normal damage in that situation.

Mega Rayquaza Cons:
- Rayquaza requires Dragon Ascent to Mega Evolve.
Verdict: Mega Rayquaza is a ridiculously overpowered Pokemon. What was Game Freak thinking when they came up with the Delta Stream Ability?!
Rayquaza no longer being weak to Ice and Rock-type moves when it Mega Evolves is definitely going to frustrate Trainers.
Trainers who uses Cloyster will be particularly annoyed by Mega Rayquaza, because the latter will no longer be one-turn KO'd by Icicle Spear.
