Using the wrong solution can damage your 3DS.

Seeing someone clean their Nintendo 3DS screen with a rubbing alcohol wipe inspired me to promote a safer way to clean that device.

Rubbing Alcohol should never be used to clean an electronic device -- because it's flammable, and can discolor your device.

Out of all of the electronic cleaning solutions that I've tried, I found Antec Advance 3X Strength Cleaning Spray to be the best, because it's formula doesn't leave streaks, kills 99.9% of bacteria for over 24 hours, and is alcohol and ammonia-free.

You can find an Antec Advance 3X Strength Cleaning Spray bundle (as pictured on the right) on Amazon.com for a reasonable price. That bundle includes:

  • One 60 mL bottle of cleaning spray.

  • One 240 mL bottle of cleaning spray.

  • One 11.8" x 11.8" (30 cm x 30 cm) microfiber cloth.

Alternatively, Antec are also selling disposable Advance 3X Strength Cleaning Wipes.
