That could save you some time and prevent disappointment.
The New Nintendo 3DS XL releases February 13, 2015 in the North American market. I've compiled a few tips that you should learn if you're considering purchasing that handheld.
1) It doesn't include a power adapter charger.
The New Nintendo 3DS XL doesn't include a power adapter charger, because Nintendo has come to a conclusion that you already own one.
The New Nintendo 3DS XL is compatible with chargers included with the Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo 3DS XL. If you don't own either of those platforms (like Nintendo assumes), you can purchase an official Nintendo 3DS for less than $12 on Amazon.com.
2) You can't simultaneously share your Nintendo Network ID.
Previous Nintendo 3DS users will be forced to run a system transfer before they can download content from their eShop library on their New Nintendo 3DS XL, because you can't simultaneously use the same Nintendo Network ID on more than one 3DS.
3) It uses a different type of memory card.
The New Nintendo 3DS XL uses Micro SD cards, which is smaller than the SD cards that's compatible with previous 3DS models.
If you invested in an expensive SD card for your large 3DS game library, you'll need to purchase a high capacity Micro SD card, because the New Nintendo 3DS XL only includes a 4 GB Micro SD card.
I suggest that you purchase a SanDisk Extreme PRO 32GB Micro SDHC (SDSDQXP-032G-G46A) memory card which is confirmed to be compatible with the New Nintendo 3DS XL.
