Or should you wait for a price drop?![]()
Renegade Kid released Dementium Remastered on December 3, 2015 exclusively on the Nintendo 3DS' eShop with a price tag of $14.99.
Dementium Remastered is an enhanced edition of Dementium: The Ward, a first-person survival horror game that was released for the Nintendo DS on October 31, 2007. In that game, you play as a man who awakens in a eerie worn down hospital that is frozen in time.
Some fans was quick to state that Dementium Remastered is overpriced, because that title only includes approximately 4 hours of gameplay, which makes your first playthrough cost approximately $3.75 per hour.
$3.75 is a tad pricey per hour of gameplay. Does the new features justify that premium price? Let's find out by taking a look at those features:
-
Enhanced graphics.
-
Stereoscopic 3D effects.
-
Enhanched audio
-
Additional difficulty settings.
-
Improved controls.
All of those new features are basic, which means that Dementium Remastered is indeed overpriced; in my opinion, that title should have cost no more than $8.99, which is what Renegade Kid's other downloadable 3DS titles costs.
