Dear Nintendo,![]()
It's 2014.
Sincerely your fans.
Yet another Nintendo 3DS user lost his saved data due to his SD card corrupting.
"It's a sad day when the SD card in my 3DS becomes corrupted for seemingly no good reason. Anybody else had this? I've lost months of playtime on Pokémon, Animal Crossing and Zelda: ALBW. It's so frustrating that Nintendo doesn't have a cloud service to back saves onto," Reddit user MaybeNotBatman mentioned.
That's the number one reason why I rarely purchase digital games on the 3DS. I'd rather take my chances with the much higher quality 3DS cartridges than an SD card.
If Nintendo wants to attract hardcore gamers -- they need to start offering useful features for their platforms such as a cloud subscription service to backup saved data, because they're the only major console manufacturer that doesn't offer that feature.
