3D vs. fog.

-
Feature A (slasher nostalgia): Friday the 13th 3D and My Bloody Valentine 3D.
-
Feature B (modern psychological tension): Watcher and The Invisible Man.
-
Feature C (supernatural spectacle): Thir13en Ghosts and Silent Hill.
-
Feature D (folk horror depth): Midsommar and The VVitch.
One thing's for certain, a majority of critics would choose Feature D because these films hold the highest overall rating. On my list, though, this would be my third choice.
I'm a fan of Blu-ray 3D films, so if I wanted to watch this type of film, Feature A would be my only choice because none of the other options are available in 3D. It's worth noting that a stereoscopic Blu-ray 3D (rarely found) and old-fashioned red and blue 3D glasses (available for purchase on Amazon.com) version of Friday the 13th 3D (officially known as "Friday the 13th Part III 3D") was released.
Watching these films on my PlayStation VR (PSVR) headset would be insane. This device can simulate a 117", 163", and 226" virtual screen that's positioned approximately 2.5 meters (8.2 feet) away from the viewer. Needless to say, these films would be chaotic.
On the other hand, Silent Hill is my favorite film in this selection. Its haunting atmosphere with dense fog, decaying environments, and disturbing creatures is aesthetically pleasing. Plus, the soundtrack was never officially released due to licensing issues, making this film even more special to watch.
I don't currently have my PSVR set up, so I'm going to take the easy route and choose Feature C because I wouldn't watch Feature A if it weren't in 3D.
