Register GOG Version of Divinity: Original Sin on Steam?

Question: Can I register my serial code from the GOG version of Divinity: Original Sin on Steam?

Answer: No. Steam's list of retail and digital CD Keys that can be registered on their store doesn't list "Divinity: Original Sin" as a qualifying title.[1]

Notes: Because GOG are currently offering a "Fair Price Package" with their version of Divinity: Original Sin,[2] in which some buyers will receive gift cards to use on their store, I doubt that Steam would be open to accepting their serial codes in the future.
