This year's release has added value.
I purchased one 2017 Shopkins Halloween Glow in the Dark Pumpkin for a whopping $4.99 at a card shop, because the scalpers in my area raided every place that sold that product for $2.99.
That product includes two mystery figures in a glow in the dark pumpkin.

From what I've seen, just about every pumpkin includes a glow in the dark figure. Those figures was scarce in last year's release, that didn't come in a glow in the dark pumpkin.
