Quarterback hot pack.

My local Target placed a new retail box of 2014 Absolute Football out today so I figured that it would be worthwhile to purchase a random pack for $2.90, which contains 10 cards.

I didn't previously purchase a retail pack of 2014 Absolute Football because Panini die cutted all of the freaking thin cards, which would most likely be damaged by pack searchers.

Base Cards

  • 13 - Geno Smith

The desperate New York Jets prematurely made Smith a starter quarterback. That's one of the many reasons why they failed in the 2013 and 2014 seasons.

  • 42 - Robert Griffin III

2014-panini-absolute-football-42-robert-griffin-iii

Injuries and poor coaching has held Griffin III back in the 2013 and 2014 seasons.

  • 44 - Tom Brady

Brady became the third quarterback in NFL history with 150 wins as a starter, behind only to Brett Favre and Peyton Manning.

  • 51 - Drew Brees

Brees experienced his "most frustrating season" in 2014. He claims the Saints have found solutions to fix those problems.

  • 54 - Tony Romo

Romo finished the 2014 season with a passer rating of 113.2. Despite his efforts the Dallas Cowboys failed to reach the Super Bowl.

  • 71 - Eddie Lacy

Lacy was nicknamed "Snowplow Eddie" due to the weather in Green Bay and his aggressive running style.

  • 78 - Darren McFadden

McFadden's mediocre 2014 season could jeopardize his career with the Oakland Raiders.

  • 80 - Peyton Manning

Manning's Super Bowl record is 1-2. Will he make that 2-2 next season?

  • 115 - Orleans Darkwa [RC]

Darkwa was quickly traded to the New York Giants in his rookie 2014 season.

  • Red Spectrum 17 - Joe Flacco

In 2014 Flacco set an NFL record for most consecutive playoff games (eight) with at least two touchdown passes.

Considering I mostly watch football to see the quarterbacks in action, I'm more than satisfied with this pack. I'll cover a jumbo pack of this series this coming weekend.
