Unless they guarantee a Rip card, they're trying to catch you sucker.

It's that time of the year when some sellers attempts to catch buyers sucker by claiming their Topps Allen & Ginter Baseball hot packs could potentially include a Rip or Double Rip card, which includes one or two surprise cards respectively.

Rip cards (showcased below) are hobby exclusive and inserted into 1:346 packs, on average. The serial number on those cards is located on the bottom right hand corner. Cards in that series have been selling for as high as $200.

Double Rip cards are hobby exclusive and inserted into 1:1,723 packs, on average. The serial number on those cards is located on the top left hand corner. Cards in that series have been selling for as high as $235.

Considering it's very easy to feel a Rip card from the outside of a pack... why would anyone pass up on the opportunity to make $200 or more selling a Rip card vs. making $15 selling a hot pack?
