Nintendo lying! Nintendo make up inventory number one minute ago! Fans mad!
My attempt to pre-order Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Special Edition for the Nintendo Switch on the My Nintendo Store was a complete failure. The system gave me the following message after I added the in stock game to my cart:
"One of the items in your cart is out of stock. Remove it to continue to checkout."
Some customers claimed they secured a purchase after they saw that message by opening the store in another tab dozens of times. I couldn't replicate that strategy.
It's ridiculous this store can't keep track of a basic inventory number. Most stores shows that an item is in stock if it's... in stock.
To make matters worse, the people who successfully pre-ordered their game won't receive the SteelBook game case, Special Edition box, and art book until "fall 2022." Only the physical game will ship on or around its release date of July 29, 2022.
