Outlast features an outstanding creepy atmosphere. I spent a lot of time taking in the unique dreadful sights.
It was refreshing to face frightening monsters that can't be killed. The only thing that I didn't like about the game is its terrible final chapter.
Whistleblower is the perfect DLC for Outlast that features an interesting narrative. Just don't expect original environments to explore.
I haven't played Outlast 2, but I've heard that it's a lot more open and longer than the original, with an ending that will give you nightmares.
