Will this survival game survive development?
There's speculation circulating the Internet that DayZ could potentially be abandoned if that game doesn't receive significantly more support. According to current evidence, that doesn't seem to be the case.
Dean Hall, the creator of DayZ revealed that the standalone version of that title has sold a whopping 2 million units in just under 6 months of sales, which translates to revenue of upwards of $59.9 million (based on the current MSRP of $29.99).

Although all Early Access Games could potentially be abandoned, Bohemia Interactive (the developer of DayZ) has never abandoned a game; to top that off, DayZ has earned a number of awards including IGN's People's Choice Award of Gamescom 2013.
