Get your game working again in a few minutes.![]()
Some players have reported their copy of DayZ became corrupted after they patched that game to version 0.46.124490 through 0.47.124641, with the following message:
"Corrupted data detected. Signature of addons/animals.pbo is wrong."
You can fix that issue by verifying the integrity of your games cache by following these steps:
-
Load Steam.
-
From the Library section, right-click on the game and select Properties from the menu.
-
Select the Local Files tab and click the Verify integrity of Game Cache button.
Steam will then verify your copy of DayZ and replace any missing or corrupted files. That process generally takes a few minutes.
If Steam didn't find any issues with your copy, you may need to manually delete your corrupted file(s), and verify the integrity of your games cache again.
