Your results might surprise you.
Valve released yesterday, a "SteamVR Performance Test" for the Microsoft Windows PC platform. That software is approximately 1.9 GB and measures your system's VR rendering power.
After collecting the data, the application will grade your OS, CPU and GPU to inform you if your system is capable of rendering VR. Here's my results:
I find it ironic that my old CPU from 2009 is ready for SteamVR, while my new GPU from 2015 is not ready.
Games with VR support includes: DiRT Rally; Doorways: The Underworld; Euro Truck Simulator 2; Passing Pineview Forest; Slender: The Arrival; and The Solus Project.
