SEGA has acknowledged and fixed an error in the Sonic Mania Steam store page that doesn't mention that game installs 3rd-party DRM from Denuvo.

"Like you, we've noticed an error in the Steam store not mentioning the DRM for Sonic Mania," SEGA acknowledged. "We're fixing that now."[1]

SEGA also commented on reports claiming that Denuvo is preventing users from playing the Windows PC version of Sonic Mania offline.

"Sonic Mania is intended to be played offline and we're investigating reports on that," SEGA added.[1]
