The dark side of trading card products.
This MJ Holding Company Gems of the Game box that contains 1 graded rookie cards, 2 fat packs, and 6 regular packs, has been sitting on my local Walmart's shelf for ages.
I purchased that box for $20.78 because I wanted to waste my money on a poorly graded BCCG card...
Packs
-
2012 Panini Absolute Football Retail Pack
Nothing but base...
-
2012 Panini Crown Royale Football Retail Pack
Nothing but base...
I pulled a Rookie Roundup 14 Quinton Patton RC card from that pack, as showcased below:
-
2013 Panini Prestige Football Retail Base Pack
Nothing but base...
-
2013 Panini Prizm Football Retail Pack
Nothing but base...
-
2013 Score Football Retail Pack
A rookie card not worth mentioning...
-
2013 Topps Football Retail Blaster Pack
Nothing but base...
Graded Rookie Card
- 2012 Score 304 - Andrew Luck [RC]
I went from being surprised to disappointed in a matter of seconds, because each freaking corner of that graded card is damaged! Here's a closeup image of the back top left hand corner of that card:
What part of four bad corners is considered "near mint or better?" BCCG are notorious for giving flawed trading cards a better grade, but that graded card is ridiculous.
Jeez. That box ended up being worse than I had expected; with that said, I'll fully cover my 2013 Panini Absolute and 2013 Upper Deck packs over the next two days.
