It was September 1, 2001. Labor Day weekend provided the perfect opportunity for the Grigoriy Clan to welcome the four teachers who would be running the school. As everyone gathered together for the special occasion, they spent the weekend brainstorming and coming up with the perfect names for each of the Mouse Houses.
House Sakura
Teacher: Hana of the Matsuzawa Clan.
Motto: “Grace in every small step.”
Colors: Cherry blossom pink & white.
Symbol: A mouse beneath a blooming cherry blossom.
Personalities: Intelligent, calm, artistic, and observant. Members value harmony, patience, and clever problem-solving.
House Zarya
Teacher: Vladimir of the Ustichenko Clan.
Motto: “Through winter, we endure.”
Colors: Deep red & silver.
Symbol: A mouse in a snowy forest.
Personality: Brave, resilient, loyal, and determined. They are protectors who stay strong through difficult times and never abandon their friends.
House Hoku
Teacher: Iwalani of the Kimo Clan.
Motto: “Together, we shine.”
Colors: Ocean blue & tropical green
Symbol: A mouse gardening.
Personality: Friendly, adventurous, generous, and deeply connected to their community. They value family, friendship, and exploring the world around them.
House Estrela
Teacher: Manuel of the De Costa Clan.
Motto: “Follow the light beyond the horizon.”
Colors: Gold & deep blue
Symbol: A mouse sailing.
Personality: Curious, passionate, imaginative, and adventurous. They love stories, discovery, music, and setting off toward new horizons.
Technician Grigoriy developed a mysterious chair called S.O.R.T., short for Specialized Oracle for Rodent Talents. The extraordinary device was based on an ancient artificial intelligence created by a long-forgotten, unknown civilization.
S.O.R.T. studies each mouse who sits on its chair, analyzing their personality, talents, fears, dreams, and the answers they have answered. Using this knowledge, it determines which Mouse House is best suited to them, and where they truly belong.
The Grigoriy Clan hopes to complete their first vehicle, one that can support their missions while also providing a safe way to transport the pups across the island. Until then, they have taken responsibility for escorting a small clan of pups through established routes.
This will become the first known school for mice to have unionized multiple cultures under one roof. Designed as a place of learning, friendship, and discovery, the school will bring together young mice from diverse backgrounds, allowing them to share their traditions, learn from one another, and build a stronger, more united community.
Ikaika of the Kimo Clan had been appointed Headcheese, a position of great authority and responsibility within the school. The announcement marked the beginning of a new chapter, placing Ikaika at the center of the school’s leadership and future.
As Headcheese, Ikaika would oversee the daily operations of the school and make many of its most important decisions. From establishing new rules and guiding the school’s direction to resolving conflicts and ensuring that students and staff could thrive, much of the school’s future would rest in his hands.
But leadership would not be a task he faced alone. Ikaika would work closely with the powerful Grigoriy Clan, whose members were responsible for helping maintain the security and protection of the school. Together, the Kimo and Grigoriy Clans would form an important alliance, combining leadership, strategy, and strength.
