SEGA has released a patch for the Microsoft Windows PC version of Sonic Mania that enables offline play for that title via a Denuvo token.

That version of Sonic Mania will still need regular access to the Internet to communicate with Denuvo's DRM servers. It's not clear how long your Denuvo token will last until it needs to be refreshed.

This patch comes a day after SEGA acknowledged and fixed an error in the Sonic Mania Steam store page that didn't mention that game installs 3rd-party DRM from Denuvo.
