The market is flying high, up in the sky, watching collectors go by.
The 2026 Topps Chrome Disney trading card release is proving to be a hot commodity among collectors, with Hobby Boxes now surging past $750 on the secondary market, nearly double the price collectors paid during the original presale.
Topps initially offered 2026 Topps Chrome Disney Hobby Boxes for $419.99 during its May presale. The official Topps launch price later increased to $429.99.
At a $750 market price, the Hobby Box has climbed roughly 79% above the $419.99 presale price, representing an increase of about $330 per box.
The autograph lineup is arguably one of this product's biggest attractions. Among the notable names appearing on the checklist are Tom Hanks as Woody, Chris Evans as Buzz Lightyear, Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow, Idina Menzel as Elsa, Jodi Benson as Ariel, Billy Crystal as Mike Wazowski, Chris Pine as King Magnifico, David Spade as Kuzco, Halle Bailey as Ariel, Dan Stevens as the Beast, and Josh Gad as Olaf, among many others.
That combination of recognizable celebrities and beloved characters gives the autograph portion of the product considerable crossover appeal. A collector isn't simply chasing a rare card; they could potentially pull an authentic signature from an actor whose performance is closely associated with a character that has been part of their childhood or fandom for decades.
Some sellers appear to be testing and attempting to establish an even higher price point of $1,000 per box. Whether the market ultimately supports that valuation remains to be seen.
It can be well worth calling local card shops directly, as some stores may still have inventory available at significantly lower prices. In some cases, shops are reportedly selling boxes for as little as $550!
