One person is selling a lot with 35 copies!
How did so many people end up with stacks of the 2026 Pokémon Trading Card Game Mega Evolution 30th Celebration Rare Cosmos Holo 063/128 Mewtwo cards when it was limited to one per customer? Here are a few examples of what I mean:
-
$360 for 20 copies - ($18.00 per card).
-
$200 for 10 copies - ($20.00 per card).

As of this writing, sealed copies are easy to find for as little as $10, with most listed around $15. Against that baseline, even the cheapest lot here ($18 a card) sits about 20% above the typical price. That’s notable, since bulk lots usually sell at a discount. At the other end, $110 per card is more than seven times the going rate.
Several explanations are plausible. The cap may not have been enforced at some locations. Buyers may have recruited friends and family to get a card for them, or bought up copies from other resellers. From the outside, there’s no way to tell which.
