Availability raises questions ahead of the next set.
The first set of the Palworld OFFICIAL CARD GAME, BP01: Dawn of Palpagos, was released on July 30, 2026, but nearly two months later, I have yet to see the product appear on the shelves of major retailers such as Walmart or Target.
For collectors and players trying to determine whether the card game is actually being distributed through major retail chains, one useful way to check is through the retailers' official website. Their online store locator can provide an indication of which physical locations are carrying the product, rather than relying solely on third-party sellers or marketplace listings.
For a new TCG to gain traction, availability at large retailers can be important, not only for attracting new players, but also for giving collectors a reliable way to purchase booster packs and other products at or near the manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP).
Interestingly, TCGPlayer added the Palworld OFFICIAL CARD GAME to its marketplace last month, giving collectors another option for purchasing cards and sealed product. However, the pricing for BP01: Dawn of Palpagos is considerably higher than the suggested retail price. The cheapest booster packs I have found are selling for around $13 each.
That represents a price increase of roughly 167% over MSRP, meaning the cheapest available booster is nearly three times the original retail price. At that price, opening packs becomes significantly more expensive for players and collectors who simply want to experience the first set.
This raises an interesting question about the initial distribution of the Palworld OFFICIAL CARD GAME. Is the product genuinely in high demand, or is the high price mainly the result of limited supply and a relatively small number of retailers carrying it?
The situation is also worth watching because the first set is particularly important for establishing a new collectible card game. If BP01: Dawn of Palpagos remains hard to find, prospective players may struggle to enter the game without paying inflated secondary-market prices.
As additional sets and products are released, it will be interesting to see whether distribution expands and prices on the secondary market move closer to MSRP. The next set, “Legends Awaken,” is scheduled to be released on October 30, 2026.
