Hopefully I'm wrong.
Grand Theft Auto VI (a.k.a. "GTA 6") is finally releasing on May 26, 2026, for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles. The latest trailer made no mention of a “Windows” PC version.
The previous game in this series, Grand Theft Auto V, was first released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on September 17, 2013. The Windows PC version wasn’t released until April 14, 2015, approximately 19 months later. If Rockstar Games uses the same schedule, Windows gamers may need to wait until December 2027 to play the game!
I doubt Rockstar Games would want to wait until after the holiday rush to release the Windows version. They would lose out on potential buyers if they missed out on the big November spending spree.
I'm going to predict that the Windows version of Grand Theft Auto VI will release in October 2027. If you missed the latest trailer for this game, check it out:
This trailer was captured entirely in-game from a PlayStation 5! The song "Hot Together" by The Pointer Sisters is featured in this trailer. I'm a little surprised this song only has 2.4 million streams on Spotify, considering this trailer was streamed over 100 million times on YouTube alone.
