Another delay in paradise, right?
Rockstar Games announced nearly two weeks ago that Grand Theft Auto VI will be delayed until May 26, 2026.[1] It didn't take long for rumors to circulate that this game would be further delayed.
This rumor is ridiculous considering Rockstar Games followed this announcement by listing this game on the PlayStation Store with this release date. We should wait until pre-orders fail to go live a few months before May 26, 2026, before we jump to conclusions.
They also have a history of delivering on their word if they announce a precise release date rather than a vague release month, such as "Fall 2025."
I believe this game was delayed until May 26, 2026, to give the developers more time to fine-tune the PlayStation 5 Pro version, because this upgraded console was less than six months old when they announced this delay.
In related news, there are now seventeen GTA VI wallpapers on the official website. The coolest wallpapers feature postcards of Vice City, Leonida Keys, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, Grassrivers, and Mount Kalaga National Park. They even have an option to download every wallpaper in one zip file (presently 178 MB).
