It was February 27, 2001. Technician Grigoriy overheard the Portuguese Guy excitedly discussing his newest video game, a whimsical, paper-crafted role-playing adventure. It was the exact video game the Grigoriy Clan had been waiting to play since August 2000, yet not a single copy had ever reached their stations in Russia.

This prompted the clan to expand their 3D map of the underground system to include the area beneath the Portuguese Guy's neighborhood in Wainaku. Because of the numerous hazards, these passages were designated for emergency use only.

Movement into Wainaku is constrained by three bridge crossings, each introducing unique tactical risks and mobility challenges. Observer Grigoriy assessed Puueo Bridge as the safest crossing point due to the unique arch along the pedestrian walkway, which provides effective cover during movement.

Commander Grigoriy initiated Operation Phantom Hour, the clan's standard covert protocol for infiltrating and navigating unfamiliar terrain under the concealment of night.

The three mice treated the stone pillars of the Puueo Bridge arch like a military obstacle course. Using each pillar as cover, they advanced in disciplined bounds, pausing to scan for danger before slipping silently to the next position. Every movement was deliberate, coordinated, and unseen, as they maneuvered through the shadows to avoid detection.

They paused to watch the wild party unfolding across the street. The air was thick with the acrid stench of burning plastic, mingling with the sharp smell of rubber as one of the vehicles spun its tires. It was unlike anything they had ever witnessed in Russia.

On the same lot, two scruffy feral cats squared off near a bush. Their tails fluffed into bottlebrushes, ears flattened and twitching, they traded sharp, indignant meows over which one had first spotted the plump gecko hiding beneath the stone.

The sounds of the surrounding lot nearly drowned out their noisy dispute. Then, at the very peak of their argument, the startled gecko shot from its hiding place and disappeared into a narrow crack in a lava rock.

The two cats stared at the empty crevice in stunned disbelief. After a long, awkward pause, they slowly turned to look at each other, their fierce expressions melting into mutual embarrassment. In all their bickering, they had managed to scare away the very prize they had been fighting over.

Further down the road, where the Portuguese Guy lived, the atmosphere shifted; the streets were cleaner, calmer, and almost surprisingly peaceful.

Observer Grigoriy rapidly identified multiple potential entry points using his thermal optics, but reaching the Portuguese Guy's unit would require traversing the building's maze-like network of plumbing and electrical utility tunnels.

The sight before them left Commander Grigoriy with only one choice: activate War Mode. Blocking the clan's path was the largest cockroach horde they had ever encountered. To complete their mission, they would have to fight their way through an army of relentless pests.

Technician Grigoriy powered up his state-of-the-art exterminator, equipped with an adaptive AI targeting system capable of locking onto a designated pest species while disregarding all other lifeforms and obstacles.

When fired, the muzzle released an almost invisible stream of electrical plasma that traveled only a short distance before dissipating. Grigoriy had planned his timing carefully, waiting until a vehicle roared past on the main road, its engine and tires drowning out the already faint, barely perceptible crackle of the discharge.

Meanwhile, Commander Grigoriy and Observer Grigoriy switched their laser weapons to the lowest power setting and fired at the pests swarming in from behind.

As they made their way toward the Portuguese Guy’s unit, the cockroaches became strangely scarce. It was as if they had their own underground communication system and had already agreed: avoid that place at all costs.

The clan silently laughed at the sheer number of cockroach traps and bait surrounding every entry point to his unit. It was as if he had turned his unit into a defensive perimeter, prepared for an invasion only he seemed to take seriously.

They find the Portuguese guy watching a late-night comedy talk show hosted by a playful, ginger-haired comedian with a mischievous charm. Hidden in the shadows, they settle in and watch, captivated by the most absurd comedy bits they’ve ever witnessed.

Тур ждет.
