Find out whether I pull my first-ever relic card from a retail product.
I purchased one 2026 Topps Allen & Ginter Retail Fat Pack for $6.99. Only a few packs remained on the shelf at one store, while another location was completely sold out.
For the first time since 2015, there are no short prints in this years set, which is sure to simplify set-building, but at the same time lower the value of the base set.
It does, however, retain the brand’s classic eclectic formula, blending MLB stars, rookies, legends, and non-baseball personalities and subjects, while introducing fresh inserts and select structural changes.

Caissie made his Major League debut on August 14, 2025, with the Chicago Cubs against the Toronto Blue Jays, close to his hometown in Ontario. It was a special milestone because he grew up watching the Blue Jays.

N43-15 Jac Caglianone (odds 1:2).
During a Spring Training game against the Arizona Diamondbacks, Caglianone turned on a fastball from Yilber Díaz and rocketed a double into the right-center-field gap. The ball came off his bat at 120.2 mph, making it the hardest-hit ball of the 2026 Spring Training period reported by MLB.com.

On October 4, 2026, Misiorowski threw a 104.8 mph first pitch in a postseason start against the Chicago Cubs, setting a record for the fastest first pitch recorded in postseason history.

I was excited to pull a Base Mini Chrome, but unfortunately, mine came scratched up. The dots you see on the card are part of the design.
Unfortunately, Topps has once again made this product’s fat packs easy to search for relic cards. It takes just a few seconds to check a dozen packs for a potential relic, which may explain why I’ve never pulled one from a retail pack.
