Bad luck or bad odds?
My pull rates for the 2026 Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket Dual Fusion (C1) booster packs, Mega Mewtwo X and Pikachu, have been dismal. I’ve opened three packs of each and haven’t pulled a single hit, which I define as a 4-Diamond card or better.
My best pull so far is a lone 3-Diamond, essentially a Rare Holo. The odds explain some of the disappointment. The chance of pulling this rarity in the fourth card slot is 5.000%, and in the fifth slot it’s 20.000%.
I don’t seem to be alone, either. Of the eleven Wonder Picks currently available to me, only one includes a hit. That’s a small sample, but it suggests many players are feeling the same drought.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t lucky enough to pick the hit from the one Wonder Pick that contained one.
Determined to turn my luck around, I dipped into my Pack Hourglass stash, which holds nearly 5,000 units. The results were rough: three more Mega Mewtwo X packs, and not a single hit. I didn’t even pull a 3-Diamond.
Pikachu finally came through. One regular pack gave me a 3-Diamond, and another turned out to be a rare 6-card pack (a regular pack plus one bonus card) that contained a 1-symbol Shiny. The odds of opening that type of pack are just 5.238%.
